Material Handler

Job Duties:

• Label stock and other raw materials to the appropriate press per stock work orders
• Identify, recommend and implement areas for Lean improvement/modification
• Maintain accurate and organized inventory of production materials
• Ensure equipment used in raw and finished goods warehouse for material handling is functioning properly and in good working order
• Work closely with teams/departments to create an environment that supports workflow and continuous improvements
• Prepare and maintain appropriate documentation related to material handling duties
• Work safety and abide by established safety policies and procedures. Identify and follow-up on unsafe conditions

Secondary Duties:

• Perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management
• Provide backup for the receiving area covering breaks and vacations

Requirements:

• Must be a good team player, detail-oriented, and good at multi-tasking
• Have good computer skills
• Able to work under pressure and make good decisions
• Must be good at trouble-shooting and taking initiative
• Excellent communication skills
• Must have basic math, reading, writing skills, and ability to tactfully communicate to customers and employees
• Able to lift up to 75lbs, pull/push 100lbs, and carry/lift 30lbs
• Physically able to move throughout the day
• Able to work a flexible schedule, nights, and weekends on occasion including attending events/meetings
• Forklift experience
